When I first started yoga back in 2012, I wanted the physical benefits to compliment my running and cycling. After a while I realised that the sense of release after practising yoga wasn’t the same as other exercise, it was more peaceful and long lasting.
I completed my Yoga Teacher Training at Yoga London in 2017. As a teacher I want to give my students a feeling of strength and contentment, to empower people and make them feel confident in themselves. To help them take control of their busy minds. Working with the breath is such a helpful tool to counteract the never ending chatter of the mind.
I like to take time over each asana or pose, to allow the body to settle into it. Then the feeling of lightness and strength that comes when you move slowly and with consideration.
